Wilson’s Tannenbaum Farm is a family-owned and operated Christmas tree farm in Battle Creek, MI. After their old website domain expired, we worked together to create a new, modern site that better described all their available tree varieties, included a booking system for u-cut tree appointments, and showcased their secret sauce - the family members who are the heart of the business!
This small site build was completed in less than one week, and included an inclusive photography session at the farm to capture the beauty of the trees.
LA Delectables is a Lansing-based home chocolatier service operating under Michigan’s Cottage Food Law. Owner Liz happens to be my amazing aunt, and her delectables are truly so beautiful! Liz has successfully operated her business for several years using Cast Iron, Facebook and Instagram as marketing and ordering platforms, but she was looking for a way to consolidate her communications and run ordering through one site. We worked together to do a beautiful brand photo session, and on her website we focused on building an e-commerce section with custom order forms that equip her with all the info she needs (design vision, timeline, delivery/pickup preference, etc.) to efficiently manage orders.
Looking Glass Replacements is a family-owned small business that was in the final stages of getting their final business documentation and certifications when they came to me. They had spent the last year building a small client base of friends and family and installing windows to demonstrate their unique value. I partnered with them to visit two client houses and complete a full brand photoshoot, then work within Wix to build their site. Our priorities were to showcase their “no pressure” approach to sales and installation, and to let their authentic work shine through beautiful photos.
Beery Farms of Michigan is a free-range, grass-fed and finished beef farm, operating out of mid-Michigan. Maynard and Maddy entrusted me with the task of building this website and capturing the visual identity of their farm. Formerly, they had no website, and used word-of-mouth as a primary marketing tool - but in this post-pandemic world, they knew they needed a better digital presence.
This website build included a brand photoshoot, with digital copies of all images provided to Maynard and Maddy upon completion of our site, so they can use them in other marketing.
Senior Country Care is a Dansville-based, family-owned assisted living facility with two small locations. I serve in an ongoing communications contractor for SCC, supporting them with ongoing website work via Wix, print design needs, social media advertising, and more. Their primary business needs include increasing their name recognition, especially on Google Searches, and using creative communications to attract and retain direct care providers.
Trek Power Equipment is a St. John’s-based small equipment repair shop who worked with me to get their communications business assets up and running. Owners Derek and Trevor had just left their full-time careers to start Trek, and needed help getting not only their website created, but also getting some brand photos done, setting up their Google Business profile, and creating a business Facebook page. With a tight turnaround of less than two months, we made it happen and made it look great.
Desserts by Danaj is a home baking service operating under Michigan’s Cottage Food Law, serving Mid-Michigan. They were the recipient of my 2022 Holiday Website Giveaway, and as such I worked with owner Michelle to create this site entirely free of charge. Our priority was creating a streamlined process for ordering treats, and better documenting key timelines and details associated with custom orders. We were able to beautifully showcase her gallery of work, while also achieving maximum functionality.
Sierra Homes of Michigan is a well-established and highly successful builder serving Mid-Michigan. They engaged with me when they learned their existing website builder was closing shop and in need of transferring to a new space. We agreed to completely redesign the site to a more modern design, as well as leave the door open to add new pages showcasing projects as they complete. One unique feature of the Sierra website is the video header I created to integrate drone footage they had done of a recent build.
As a creative with nearly ten years of experience in everything from website design, to graphic design, printing, and strategic communications, I have an extensive network of other creatives who I’ve worked with for years. I connected the Sierra team with a real estate photographer to ensure the photos showcased on their site reflected the high-end design and finishes featured in their homes.
Risner Building & Excavating is a building and excavating small business based in mid-Michigan. I completed their small website build, first to simply list services, and then scaled to include available spec properties. I have also assisted them with the creation of their Facebook page and promotional advertising, as well as yard sign development and printing.
New Hope Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue whose mission is to save unwanted shelter pets from euthanasia at overcrowded shelters, in Michigan and beyond.
I not only serve as the volunteer Communications Coordinator for NHPR, but I also completed this website redesign as part of our communications overhaul. Using Wix, we completely redesigned the site to prioritize mobile optimization, and to ensure that our intentional adoption and foster processes were more clearly documented on the site.
